Great find for counters!

Aloha Owners,

Cathy Winter, unit 321, sent me some information on a very reasonable place to get counters.   She thought that many of you could benefit from her find.  I thought I would pass along the information.

Here is the information that I received from Cathy:   See photos of her samples.  She will be on island until the 18th.  If anyone wants to see the samples in person you can check with her.

Pohaku Fabrications located in the Puhi industrial area.   Website:       http://pohakufab.com/about-us-2/ 
She found that they had pre-fabricated slabs of manufactured Quartz counter slabs, finished on one edge, starting at $395 per slab!   They come with a 6" backsplash.

She thought that 2 pieces will do a one bedroom kitchen with a bar shelf.   They come in 6-7 standard finishes.   Some a little pricier but still a lot less than granite or custom Quartz.

Sounds like a place worth checking out!

Act 204 Legislation












Aloha Owners,
                   

                   I blogged the Act 204 legislation last week which states that units must include an on-island local contact, phone number, email address and the unit TAT number in both advertising and in the rental unit itself.   I got quite a few questions from owners regarding this so I wanted to clear it up.
                   Castle will put the required information in all units that either have a service contract with Castle or a regular contract. (this includes direct renters)  Owners do not need to worry about that.  
                    Direct renters that advertise their unit must put the required information in all of their advertising including but not limited to, VRBO, AirBnB, etc.
                     Hope this answers many of your questions.
