Hawaii Tourism Authority Hotel Performance Report For First Half of 2019

Aloha Owners,

Question for those on VRBO

Aloha Owners,

A homeowner contacted me and mentioned that they had not received payments from VRBO from either deposits or final payments.      The guest(s) had paid the money but the money had not made it into this owner’s bank account.   I remember another owner (at least one owner) saying that this happened to them as well.  If any owner out there rents through VRBO and has had issues with receiving payments please let me know.   I can put you in touch with this owner and maybe you can let them know how you resolved it.

Occupancy Down :(

Aloha Owners,

Roy just sent me this article to blog.  I know many of you have commented on your VRBO listings and the lack of bookings and inquiries.    I have blogged several articles about it and Roy has talked about it as well.  Here is another article that shows it is not just you feeling the dip. Roy made an interesting observation that air fare is low right now to the islands, you would think that occupancy would be higher.
