The RAB encourages all owners that have direct rentals between today (March 26-April 30), to contact your guest and advise them about the mandatory 14- day quarantine. Please don't wait for your guest to contact you. Please advise Castle if your guest decides to cancel or to re-book to a later date.

Please read below from Chris Gampon to Roy and Gana to understand what is being done with the Beach Hut and Laundry during this time:
As part of our effort to address the evolving COVID19 situation we are making temporary adjustments at the property. Some changes have already taken place, others will be effective today or by Friday. In response to the State Stay-at-Home Order and County Rule #4 and #5 we are taking further steps to adjust our operations
Changes taking place by the end of today (03/25/2020):
- Beach chairs will be secured. They will remain secured until further notice.
- The majority of the lounge chairs will be removed from the lawn area.
Changes taking place on Thursday 03/26/2020:
- Laundry facility hours will be adjusted to 9:00am – 5:00pm
Changes taking place by the end of day (5pm) on Thursday 03/26/2020:
- The Beach Hut will be secured.
- The Beach Hut will remain closed until further notice.
We feel these changes address the Stay-At-Home work at home put in place by the governor and the stricter County Rule #5 (23) that states, for lodging properties, “Tourist usage is discouraged. Individuals staying at these properties are not allowed to utilize any common spaces like pools, game rooms, spas, etc.”. It is our opinion that the defined uses and intent of the rule would put the beach services into the “etc.” category.
With the COVID situation changing on a daily basis, we may be required to made additional adjustments in the future. We understand that these changes may not be popular. We appreciate your understanding during these challenging times.

A similar message, to what is above, is being sent to all Kiahuna rental agents. This message is directed to just the two of you as on-site agents. I am aware that you both have occupants. In as much as outdoor activity should be curtailed to physical and mental health activities, taking a swim for exercise purposes is one of the activities exempted from the rule. With that in mind, while I have staff available, I can have a small supply of towels delivered to your desks each morning. They would be picked up the next morning.
